It's another scorcher of a 100+°F day in Livermore today. So my daughter and I went for a walk today early this morning along the Arroyo Mocho before the heat set in. We have been to a couple of different segments of this trail before, and today we headed to a new segment--near Robertson Park, which is the home of the Livermore rodeo.
I want to come back here soon and go the opposite direction next time, towards the library. Today we turned around because the heat was starting to get uncomfortable. I think that coming back here again with the bike is sure to be another big success--there were lots and lots of families making good use of this paved trail with their bikes. And I think that we will be able to walk further as long as it's not too hot. Late May, hike at Robertson Park Segment Return visit in early June with goats! We came back to this segment again on a cooler day, and we got to see the goats! We've seen them before, but we weren't expected them at all this week. We parked in the same place and headed towards the library, in purple on the map. We did not go very far, mostly because we had ourselves a little picnic on a blanket that I brought and we spent more time just watching the goats. It was a very fun activity!
