Dinosaur Lake-Pig Pond Loop at Pacheco State Park

Last Sunday, I made my maiden voyage to Pachecho State Park, where I took a challenging but enjoyable 5.5-mile loop. I can definitely see myself returning to this park, especially in the spring when the wildflowers must be spectacular.

On our recent camping trip to Hendy Woods State Park, my family and I wrapped up our trip by taking a short 0.6-mile walk through the small grove of the impressive old-growth redwoods called Big Hendy. This was a return visit for me, and a first for both my husband and my daughter.

We made an encore trip yesterday to Venice Beach, one of the beaches of Half Moon Bay State Beaches. The wildflowers were not quite as amazing as last month, but we got some sunshine to brighten things up.
